As officers continued to try to deescalate the situation, the suspect then reached for a powerful scoped rifle and police then discharge numerous shots. Now identified as 59-year-old Kerry Lee, the suspect did not survive the shooting.
Authorities have since launch an internal investigation into the incident which is still ongoing at this time.
