A police officer, who predicted he would be shot before he headed off to work one night, has died. Sergeant Allen Brandt was responding to a call of gunfire on October 16th when he was shot in his leg and shrapnel damaged his eye.
He was released by the hospital and was being honored at a City Council meeting when he revealed he had an eerie feeling he was going to get shot that night. Brandt went back to the hospital with complications from his eye surgery. He did not make it through.
