CLOVIS, N.M. (KFDA) –Bodycam video released by the Clovis Police Department shows the moments before officer Chris Caron was shot in the leg while attempting to arrest a man on a felony warrant.
Officer Caron stopped a bicyclist, who identified himself as Anthony Baca, in the 900 block of Wallace Street late last month for a traffic violation, an encounter detailed in the opening minute of the video released on Facebook Tuesday.
The video continues as Baca tries to leave the scene on foot after Caron stated he was under arrest for an outstanding warrant.
