Farmington, CT – On Tuesday, Farmington police released surveillance video of a crash at a Citgo Gas Station, that resulted in a pump going up in flames.
The crash happened at the Food Bag/Citgo station on Main Street, at about 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
Police said a 70-year-old man backed his vehicle into a gas pump, causing a fire that engulfed two cars.
Police said the man mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes.
The surveillance video shows a woman quickly rescue two children from the car that was on the other side of the pump that was hit.
Gas station attendants immediately hit an emergency button to shut off the gas tanks.
