This horrifying footage shows the moment on Monday morning when a SUV was out of control and ploughed through a crowd of people in Yichang, central China’s Hubei Province.
The car, parked on the sidewalk, was seen pulling forward suddenly and knocking one pedestrian to the ground. It then turned in a sweeping circle onto the street before heading back in the direction of its original parked position through a number of bystanders waiting at the roadside.
Six people were injured in the incident. Fortunately, none of the injuries are serious or critical, according to doctors at a local hospital.
The driver said his feet slipped on the pedals because he was wearing slippers, local media reported.
According the WHO, approximately 260,000 people are killed in road accidents in China each year, and around six in 10 of the casualties are “vulnerable” road users such as pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists.
Never fails… spinal injury, someone IMMEDIATELY within ten seconds lifts them off the ground only to drop them a few steps later. Fuck me.
